Teenage Early Summer Yoga Immersion
starts Monday 17 july 2023 at 16:00
- One early summer program of two weeks to celebrate summer.
- One end-of-summer program of two weeks to prepare for back-to-school.
Both programs (in English and French) have a great deal of focus on postural practice and mindfulness. There will be some lectures, some group work, as well as partner work and individual reflection.
The programs include:
- Postural practice (with daily themes)
- Breathing techniques
- Mindfulness time
- Relaxation time
- Partner work
- Daily routine
- Personal journal + journaling time
Those age 13-19 will enjoy these programs. In addition to the yoga postures which stretch and strengthen muscles and connective tissues to make the body more adept and less likely for injury, the breathing exercises and mindfulness will help increase academic performance, deepen trusting relationships, reduce stress, and create harmony at school. The experience of these programs will enhance concentration in the classroom, self-esteem, respect for others as well as the ability to relax completely.
Participation
You can register for Week 1 or Week 2 or both Weeks 1 & 2 of either or both programs.

Teacher: Nathalie Colavitti Blay
Nathalie became interested in yoga through a documentary of a young girl who explained with lucidity and breathtaking calm how yoga helped her recover from a severe childhood trauma. That spark brought Nathalie to Iyengar yoga classes in 2006 before moving on to vinyasa and thereafter Ashtanga vinyasa whose energizing and soothing practices fascinated her. She also included into her personal practice the shat kriyas - purification techniques that are highly effective for digestive problems, stress and insomnia. In 2016, she graduated La Source’s 300-hour teacher training program. At the request of her colleagues, she gives yoga classes at work. At the same time, she continues her own practice and has attended workshops by senior Ashtanga teachers like Mark Darby, Danny Paradise, Gregor Maehle, Laruga Glaser, Kathy Cooper and Doug Keller. She wishes to share the knowledge acquired and to continue to explore that vast world called yoga. Go to Nathalie's page.
