Yoga Week-end - Posture et Respiration

With a lifetime of experience, Kathy returns for her sixth year giving yoga workshops with us! Students of all yoga styles can participate. The mornings will be for Ashtanga students with primary and intermediate series and Mysore-style. The Friday evening and weekend afternoons will be open to all interested in proper alignment, adjustments, and tips for asanas practiced in all styles.
Following the weekend workshop, Kathy will give 4 early morning Ashtanga Mysore-style practice classes where students practice independently at their own pace. Kathy will give individual attention and adjustments along with Jacob Handwerker, her long-time personal assistant.

Kathy will teach pranayama (yogic breathing techniques) including explanation and practice of all bandhas (energy seals) and breath retentions. Open to students of all yoga styles! This Friday session will be given at La Source in Walferdange. All following sessions will be given at La Source in Strassen.

Saturday: Group 1 | 8:00-10:00 | Led class, primary series. Kathy will instruct participants through the standing, sitting, back-bending and inversion sequences of the primary series. |
Saturday: Group 2 | 10:15-12:15 | Led class, intermediate series. The rhythm of the class will be adapted to the students' abilities. |

Saturday | 14:30-16:30 | Asana clinic - 2 hours dedicated to alignment principles of Suryanamaskara, inversions, standing and forward-bending postures. (This session is open to students of all yoga styles.) |
Sunday: Group 1 | 8:00-10:00 | Mysore-style. Here, students practice the primary or intermediate series on their own while Kathy circulates to give hands-on adjustments. |
Sunday: Group 2 | 10:15-12:15 | Led class, primary series. Kathy will instruct participants through the standing, sitting, back-bending and inversion sequences of the primary series. |

Sunday | 14:30-16:30 | Asana clinic - 2 hours dedicated to back-bending postures done on the knees, lying and standing. Also, the arm-strengthening and balancing posture of Pincha Mayurasana. (This is open to students of all yoga styles.) |

Notre centre à Strassen propose de hatha yoga pour tous les niveaux dans les lignées indiennes du Sivananda, de l'Ashtanga et du Vinyasa Krama. Nous y proposons également du Yin Yoga, synthèse du Tao Yin et du hatha, des cours spécialisés pour les personnes souffrant de problèmes de dos et pour les 50 ans et plus.
