Practices for Enlightened Living
Health is the ultimate wealth. Health is not mere absence of disease. True health is having optimal energy in all facets of one’s being: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. True health is facing the ups and downs of life with a smile. True health is being one’s best self!
This series of workshops is designed to heal and revitalize you and optimize your energy levels using Meditation, Mantras and Music among other things. The journey begins with exploring how to raise one’s mindset to a state of health and well-being by understanding one’s Energy Blueprint. Then we go on to explore different methods and techniques to raise the vibrational level in different facets of one’s being. It all culminates in Nada Yoga, which is a wonderful confluence of the art of Music and the science of Energy Centres.
Each workshop involves exploring certain concepts about inner energies and meditation and chanting practices to strengthen them. While we highly recommend taking all workshops for a cumulative benefit, each is a whole onto itself and has its own unique benefits, so you are welcome to pick and choose. Come prepared to fully discover your inner potential for health and well-being as well as experience relaxation and rejuvenation!

Understanding Your Energy BlueprintEveryone has an ‘Energy Blueprint’, and it is important to understand it to live optimally. We begin the journey with learning how to read this ‘Energy Blueprint’ by exploring different energies that reside within us, form our Energy Blueprint and influence our health and well-being at different levels. We will also learn some practical techniques that help strengthen these energies by focusing the mind and getting into a meditative space. This Friday session will be given at Haus am Becheler in Bereldange. All following sessions will be given at our Strassen location.

Finding Harmony in LifeHaving understood the internal Energy blueprint, we explore the external Energy blueprint next - various cosmic energies that influence our health and energy levels. We learn different practices to harmonize our internal energy system to the external one. As we achieve more of this inner harmony, we realize that the Universe is working with us and not against us. Life begins to feel like a harmonious melody rather than white noise. |

Mastering the flow of Inner EnergyIn this workshop, we explore the system of Energy Flow and Energy Channels. Free flowing energy is health, and stagnant energy is sickness. We will explore the ‘knots of energy’, where energy flow is blocked and some of the factors that cause the build-up of these blockages. We learn some practices to remove blockages from the path of energy and free up the flow. |

Inner Journey through the Energy CentersChakras are the whirlpools formed by the merging of different currents of energy. Optimal activity in these whirlpools results in health whereas over or under activity results in less than optimal energy vibrations. In this workshop, we explore different practices that help maintain optimal activity in the Chakras, using sacred sound vibrations and visualization. |

Rejuvenate yourself through Sacred MantrasMantras are sound form of Energy. They are the capsules in which Cosmic Energies are packaged for human consumption. Upon consumption, they unleash corresponding internal energies and harmonize the internal and external world. In this workshop, we explore some important Mantras and the cosmic energies embodied in them. We learn some of the techniques of harnessing the power of Mantras to rejuvenate ourselves. |

Nada Yoga - the Pathway to Bliss‘Nada’ is the omnipresent Universal Vibration. We use the sweet, sacred sounds of Sitar in this workshop to raise our consciousness to higher levels of vibration. Music has the power to bring everything and everyone together in an effortless way. We use specific melodies - known as ‘Ragas’ - to align all the internal energies in a holistic way and experience inexpressible harmony and bliss! |
Preparation
Sattvic lifestyle throughout the weekend
As the process is to take us deep within ourselves, we ask participants to maintain a sattvic lifestyle throughout the weekend with light eating (salad, sprouts, sandwiches, soups, no spices, smoking, soda or coffee). This applies to all meals outside the center.
Observe silence during break times within the center.
Wear loose clothes and bring whatever helps you sit and meditate comfortably: your yoga mat, cushion and a blanket or two.
Journaling
After each meditation session, time will be dedicated to write down your thoughts and experiences. Journaling allows you to process the experience, absorb the knowledge and convert it practically in your own individual way. Please bring a pen and paper rather than use an electronic device, if possible.

La plupart du temps, notre esprit est absorbé par l’imagination du futur ou par des souvenirs du passé. Lorsque nous atténuons ce bavardage mental grâce à la méditation, nous nous sentons profondément présents, connectés et vivants. La vie devient claire, simple et sereine, et notre état naturel de joie se manifeste immédiatement. Pour pratiquer la méditation, nous retirons nos sens du monde extérieur et nous concentrons sur un seul point focal. Il peut être visuel comme l'image d'une figure spirituelle inspirante. Il peut être auditif comme un mantra qui est considéré comme une puissance mystique enfermée dans une structure sonore. Il peut s'agir du souffle qui existe toujours dans le moment présent. Enseignant : Ram Vakkalanka
Ram Vakkalanka was born and brought up in India in a family dedicated to Yogic style of living. He grew up studying the Sanskrit language, BhagavadGita, Upanishads and chanting Mantras as a lifestyle. In his teens, Ram studied music through the Sitar, eventually stepping it up to Nada Yoga. It was in Canada that Ram met his spiritual Guru, and that meeting changed his life completely. In 2010, Ram dedicated his life to spreading the sublime philosophy of Veda and Vedic sciences such as Astrology and Ayurveda. Ram travels around the world sharing his deep knowledge of Yogic philosophy, Sanskrit, Nada Yoga as well as Vedic sciences such as Ayurveda. Notre centre à Strassen propose de hatha yoga pour tous les niveaux dans les lignées indiennes du Sivananda, de l'Ashtanga et du Vinyasa Krama. Nous y proposons également du Yin Yoga, synthèse du Tao Yin et du hatha, des cours spécialisés pour les personnes souffrant de problèmes de dos et pour les 50 ans et plus.
