Streaming Manish Vyas: "Flowing, Dissolving, Tathata"

starts Saturday 11 april 2020 at 18:00

This 1-hour guided meditation is taught in English.

Theory and Practice with Manish Vyas

The session will start with an introduction to the session's meditation and its purpose; then Manish will guide the Meditation. The focus of the meditation is to let things flow, without any resistance, accepting whatever and however things are each moment, like the waves on the ocean, with pure surrender. After the meditation,  Manish will present the technique "attentive listening to music" explaining why we do it and how to use it in meditation, and in which way it can deepen the meditative state itself and quieten the mind. Right in the end, a particular music piece will be suggested, to listen and be able to put this last part in practice.

Style: Meditation

Most of the time, our mind is ruminating about the future or reminiscing about the past. When we reduce this mental chatter through meditation, we feel deeply present, connected, and alive. Life becomes clear, simple, and serene, and our natural state of joy immediately manifests. To practice meditation, we withdraw our senses from the outside world and concentrate on a single focal point. It can be visual like the image of an inspiring spiritual figure. It can be auditory like a mantra which is considered to be a mystical power encased in a sound structure. It can be the breath which always exists in the present moment. It can be a thought, like the contemplation on one's deepest essence. We offer guided meditation at 1-hour Sunday afternoon gatherings held once a month and which include breathing exercises and other preparatory practices or as part of our 1-hour Sunday 20:00 yoga nidra streaming which also take places once a month. Manish Vyas Manish Vyas is a professional musician and composer, singer, multi-instrumentalist from Gujarat, India who has learned and played since childhood Indian music and later focused in particular on sacred and devotional music like mantras, kirtan, and other types of higher music expressions from the ancient tradition from India. Beyond the spiritual value behind this music, his main focus is on the intrinsic power of sound, also known as naad yoga, which, combined with the right music, can be an incredible powerful tool to be used for the wellbeing and balance of the physical and subtle bodies - body, mind, soul. Manish has gone through a long path as a spiritual seeker. He has been with Osho since he was a child until Osho left the body. Later and still today, he has been closely connected to his master Gurudev, with whom he has coordinated 40-day retreats and meditations in India under his master's guidance and inspiration. Manish himself has done many 40 days retreats and prolonged silence periods during all these years, in different places in India while following the work of his master. In his retreats he shares those ancient tools which had been passed to him the last 30 years, to go deeper into oneself and as a path to ultimately discover our true nature. Go to Manish's page.
