This 2-hour program is taught in English.

Programme
15:00-17:00

Coming to the finish line of the year can feel like a race with the hustle-and-bustle of the holiday season which can add more stress at the very time of year when Nature slows and wishes us to experience the same. Many of us feel that our inherent rhythms are disconnected from those of Nature. We are craving for stillness and connection to our deeper intuitive selves.

Winter Solstice is a very powerful moment in the wheel of the year that invites us to mark the change of the season with the importance of slowing down and release within us.

This Yin "sisterhood" gathering is a space to tune to the energy of the longest night of the year and receive deep soul nourishment in the great fertile darkness.

It is a beautiful way to experience an embodied practice allowing us to ground and deepen into rest and silence of the winter.

No previous yin yoga is necessary. Everybody is welcome.

Style: Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a modern synthesis of Tao Yin and hatha yoga developed by Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers. In Yin yoga, floor postures are held for a long duration (3-5 minutes). On a physical level, it helps to increase the suppleness in the joints within our natural range of motion. While staying in the positions, we apply gentle pressure on the joints and relax the muscles around them. This way we affect the deep connective tissues and initiate the natural repair mechanism of the body. Energetically, Yin Yoga helps opening the body’s meridian system. It increases our vitality and harmonizes the energetic activity of the body. Go to the Yin yoga page.
