Tantric Meditations For Inner Healing

starts Friday 21 september 2018 at 18:30

This program will be taught in English.

Tantric Meditation practices give us four keys to help heal and transform ourselves. These four keys are Shape, Sound, Colour and Number. They look deceptively simple and we think we know them. However, when explored deeply, they can help us deal with our negative thoughts, heal us and result in complete inner transformation. These four keys are not cut and dried separate things but rather complement each other and sometimes need to be used together. In this series of workshops, we explore each one of these keys individually as well as together and learn how to use these powerful tools to heal ourselves.

While we highly recommend taking all the workshops in this series, attending individual workshops has its own benefits, too.

These workshops involve intermittent meditation, Mantra chanting as well as Mudras. Please wear comfortable clothing, bring your favourite meditation cushion, blanket or block. Also, bring a journal and a pen to take notes as well as record your experiences.

Schedule

Day/Time Activity

Friday

18:30-21:30

Key 1: Shape - Yantra
Yantras - Sacred Arrangements of Energy

Yantra is the arrangement of Energy. Certain arrangements - whether of words, musical notes or shapes - carry the power to rearrange the energies within us in an order, heal us and infuse us with positivity. Such sacred arrangement of geometric shapes is known as a ‘Yantra’. Meditation on specific Yantras leads to the pacification of negative energies, optimization of positivity, enthusiasm and health. In this workshop, we explore certain basic Yantras, the healing impact they have on us and how to use them for optimization of positive energy within us.

Saturday

9:00-12:00

Key 2: Sound - Mantra
Gayatri - The Mantra of Inner Light

(video is of Ram chanting Ganesha mantra, not Gayatri mantra)

Sound is the vibration of Energy. Mantras are sacred arrangements of specific sound potencies that embody the energies of the Universe. Mantras help energize and centre ourselves, calm the negative chatter of the mind, deal with addictions, improve self-image and induce inner peace and harmony. In this workshop, we explore a powerful Mantra known as Gayatri Mantra, different levels of consciousness, how to harmonize them as well as Chakra cleansing through the Gayatri Mantra.

Saturday

14:00-17:00

Key 3 - Color - Varna
Color - Creating Positive Space Around Yourself

Colour is the expression of Energy. Contrary to popular belief, color is internal to us and there is no color in the external world. In this workshop, we explore Colour beyond its socio-cultural context and learn certain meditations involving specific colors (and optionally Yantras) to heal ourselves.

Sunday

9:00-12:00

Key 4 - Number - Sankhya
Number - How To Multiply Your Energy

Number is the potency of Energy. The wisdom of Numbers is present deep within us even before we acquire the knowledge of numbers and their usage in daily life. In this workshop, we will explore the deeper impact of numbers in our lives, learn certain meditations on the potencies of Numbers (optionally involving Yantras and Colours) to create positive space around us.

Sunday

14:00-17:00

Nada Yoga - Healing through Musical Tones

Certain arrangements of musical sounds have highly beneficial psycho-somatic impact on us. They remove blockages - mental as well as energetic - and bring us to a state of balance. In this workshop, we explore the energetic impact of certain arrangements of musical tones given to us by the ancient Nada Yogis of India. This workshop involves intermittent meditations to the accompaniment of live Sitar music.

Preparation

Sattvic lifestyle throughout the weekend

As the process is to take us deep within ourselves, we ask participants to maintain a sattvic lifestyle throughout the weekend with light eating (salad, sprouts, sandwiches, soups, no spices, smoking, soda or coffee).

Observe silence during break times within the center.

Wear loose clothes and bring whatever helps you sit and meditate comfortably: your yoga mat, cushion and a blanket or two.

While the weekend progresses as an integrated whole and it is best to immerse yourself in the full program, you can still register for any of the individual sessions.

Style: Nāda Yoga

There is something sacred inside each one of us that vibrates in perfect harmony with the Universe. However, the cacophony of our thoughts prevents us from enjoying this inner harmony.
