Style: Sivananda for the Back
This course is based on the Sivananda sequence of sun salutation and postures with variations to assist those with back problems. By slowing down the pace of a regular class, we bring more awareness into small details of postures and exercises. You learn to support your back through strength adjustments and developing flexibility. It is taught by Claudia who, as a kiné, is familiar with the physiology of various back conditions and can personalize the practice for those in need. Teacher: Claudia Schlegel
Claudia started yoga in 1998 while studying physiotherapy and learned how integrating yoga with physiotherapy affected the body much better than physiotherapy alone. She received her yoga teaching certification in 2002 and meditation teaching certification in 2005. Claudia would like to help her students develop a proper sense of their physical body in order for them to access the more subtle inner self. This would enable a greater possibility for spiritual awakening to take place. Go to Claudia's page.

The "salle gymnastique" at Résidence Grand-Duchesse Charlotte - Konviktsgaart is a nice, quiet space facing a garden perfectly situated for our yoga classes in the city. It is a few blocks from Hamilius-Aldringen and also has free underground parking. Go to the City: Marie-Thérèse page.
