Ecstatic Kirtan with Ganga Ma
Friday 25 april 19:30 - 21:00
On Friday evening, we will immerse ourselves in the celebratory warm bath of devotion and surrender.
Chanting the names of the different forms of the one divine presence, we allow the ecstatic kirtan to open our hearts and express our yearning, our love and our joy and discover that they actually arise from the Divine itself.
What you long for, longs for you even more.
With my singing, I wish to invoke and reflect the stillness and vibrancy that is felt in the moments of Pure Love and Joy.
Meditative chanting helps to clear and still the mind while invoking qualities that may serve us on our journey. Devotional kirtan releases the knots in the heart. It makes us feel connected to one another. Entering the place where words fall short we chant!
I have been leading kirtans and mantra workshops for about 15 years now. Most memorable were our gatherings with big groups on the banks of the river Ganga in Rishikesh. The invitation of Swamiji to offer chants as a welcome to people who come for his satsang in Rishikesh and Tiruvanamalai were a great gift. I have learned so much showing up day after day to sing. Here chanting really became a part of my sadhana and I owe much of what I share to these moments.
There is nothing sweeter to me than singing together and to feel how lover and Beloved merge in a blissful ocean of sound!

Teacher: Ganga Ma
My name is Ganga Ma.
I have been drawn to the spiritual traditions of India since my early teens. Now, at 45 years old and after a deep immersion in the teachings and practice, I am discovering my own authentic ways of expressing the mystery of the unconditional fulfilment that is available to us right here in the simplicity of this moment.
To me, the invitation is always the same, whether I practice asana, sing kirtan or meet you in retreat or a coaching session: I feel the call to surrender to what is here in this moment and return to the effortless, completely natural flow.
A yearning to keep deepening and maturing my own experience brings me to Rishikesh and Tiruvanamalai in India often. Here I find inspiration in the wisdom and presence of my teacher, ancient spiritual traditions and pilgrim places.
I feel deep gratitude for Swami Atmananda Udasin. Bathing in his deep wisdom, love, devotion, knowledge and laughter for many years changed my live in indescribable ways. His very clear non-dual teachings are so warm and filled with loving devotion.
As a woman I also feel inspired by female teachers and spiritual friends such as the Indian saint Anandamayi Ma, buddhist nun Tenzin Palmo, Tao Master Karine Martin.
My work is influenced by traditional non-dual teachings (advaita) and the path of bhakti yoga and kashmir yoga.
I love studying traditional scriptures during satsang with Swamiji and to visit the samadhi and ashram of Sri Anandamayi Ma, an extraordinary Indian Saint.
